On 15 August 2026, the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of HSUHK was invited to participate in the "Brands Award 2026". The event was co-organised by JCI Queensway and Suigang-Link, with HSUHK as a supporting partner. The programme comprised both morning and afternoon sessions, held at HSUHK campus and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) Building respectively.
The morning session took place at HSUHK, welcoming around 40 founders and C-level executives from the Greater Bay Area’s most dynamic sectors, including AI, Biotech, and Smart Manufacturing, to explore Hong Kong's entrepreneurial landscape. CIE invited multiple start-up teams from flagship project Start-up Explorer Series and GBA Youth Start-up and Social Innovation Programme to share their projects and engage in exchange with the visiting delegates, showcasing the University's entrepreneurial incubation outcomes.
Additionally, Dr King-king Li, Programme Director of the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Management (MSc-EM), together with Mr Francis Chi, a 2025/2026 graduate of the programme, introduced the MSc-EM and connected with working professionals interested in further studies.
The afternoon session was held at the HKPC Building in conjunction with the Brands Award 2026 ceremony. CIE was invited to set up an exhibition booth, where HSUHK start-up teams showcased their innovative projects and products, engaging in meaningful conversations with Dr Bernard Chan Pak-li, JP, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and several GBA business leaders on supply chain collaboration and cross-border expansion opportunities.
This event provided our start-up teams with valuable opportunities to engage directly with decisionmakers from the Greater Bay Area, build networks, and explore potential partnerships.
