On 17 July 2026, the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of HSUHK hosted the "Start-up Open Lab: Read Investor's Mind" at the Guangzhou Nansha New Area Hong Kong Service Centre, providing a platform for early-stage start-up teams to engage directly with potential investors. Mr Dannie Cheung, Honorary Advisor of the GBA Youth Start-up and Social Innovation Programme, and the liaison officer of the Guangzhou Nansha New Area Hong Kong Service Centre, also attended the event, adding great value to the occasion.
Guests Ms Ye and Ms Lai from Guangzhou HKUST Fok Ying Tung Research Institute, and Mr Wong, representing the Innovation Bay Timetable Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Innovation Entrepreneurship Base, are familiar with GBA policies shared insights on Nansha's start-up support and business opportunities. During the Open Lab sessions, teams presented their projects and received valuable investor-oriented critiques, helping them refine business strategies and improve fundraising readiness.
Guests also offered practical perspectives on establishing a presence in Nansha and integrating into the GBA ecosystem. The lively exchange proved highly beneficial for all participating teams.
CIE will continue to build platforms for entrepreneurial exchange, supporting young entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into sustainable businesses.
