HSUHK Start-up Teams Join "Brands Award 2026" Exchange Programme

The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) organised the Guangzhou Nansha Start-up Mixer Tour on 14 August 2026 (Friday), taking participants on an immersive journey to explore Nansha’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through policy insights, first-hand founder stories, and hands-on experience.

In the morning, participants visited the SunWah Hong Kong—Macao International Centre, where they connected with Hong Kong entrepreneurs based in Nansha and learned about their experiences, insights, and entrepreneurial journeys. Participants also gained an understanding of Nansha’s latest entrepreneurship and talent support policies, offering a closer look at the opportunities and challenges faced by Hong Kong youth pursuing development in Nansha.

The startup teams toured SunWah Hong Kong–Macao International Centre, welcomed by Ms Chan (Image 1) and Ms Yin (Image 2), who gave an introductory presentation.

In the afternoon, participants visited Sui-Gang Link (穗港鏈) and took part in the “Wealth Cashflow” board game, specially designed for start-ups. Through the simulation, participants were challenged to make decisions with limited resources while learning about resource allocation, cash flow management, and responding to unexpected challenges. The atmosphere was energetic as participants navigated competition and collaboration, experiencing first-hand uncertainty and decision-making pressures involved in entrepreneurship.

Led by Mr Kervin Chen (in Image 2), start-up teams fully engaged in a board game.

The tour provided participants with a multi-faceted understanding of Nansha’s entrepreneurial environment and support policies, while first-hand sharing from Hong Kong entrepreneurs offered valuable insights into the realities of building a business in Nansha. The hands-on simulation further brought resource management and decision-making concepts to life.

From understanding policies, to hearing real stories, to putting ideas into practice, the Nansha journey offered participants new perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurship.
